For the price it's really hard to complain. Seems like they might be able to improve their quality control on these as the reviews reflect that some people end up receiving sub par units. Personally we've had great luck so far and have taken deer with them. I'd recommend these as a great entry level crossbow to get started with. We have three of the X380 model. One of each of the three color options.
Pick one up! If you get a lemon I guess you'll need to return it but I think on average you won't be disappointed.
Another interesting observation I had is that my dad has a VERY similar bow that is probably 7 years old. It's made by a different company but I think it was simply rebranded and all these bows come out of the same factory in Taiwan. He has taken a deer every year with no trouble so I'm pretty confident that the longevity should be decent.
Happy hunting!

Super Fast and Very Accurate.......... BUT

I have owned this crossbow for some time now and have found it to be very accurate. Mine is the 430 and I shoot hunting weight bolts weighing 420 grains. The 430 stands for 430 Feet Per Second (FPS) and the manufacturer states 430 with a 380g bolt. I have calculated that my 420g bolts slow the speed to around 404 FPS. And yes, I believe this crossbow is truly shooting my heavy hunting bolts over 400. The speed is amazing...... but what is more important, this bow's accuracy is superb. I even use the supplied scope, which is a cheapo, but it holds accuracy, is fairly clear and lights up red or blue if desired. Also, it is noted by the maker that the 430 is a 200 pound bow. That seems reasonable as the rope cocking takes a significant amount of muscle to pull it into the trigger lock. I am 60yo yet am active, big and strong for my age. I have no issues but I have a few friends that won't even attempt to cock it.
The only two real gripes I have are....... It is brutally heavy. My hunting set up, less a custom mounted monopod, is just a hair over 10 pounds. Unlike a gun with the massive of its weight mid-center and to the rear..... this bow's weight is throughout and then mostly out front. It is impossible for me to hold it free in the air and get good aim. I MUST place it on a rest, brace my elbows on my knees or.... in my case, I have adapted a monopod to help. Even with the monopod, it sways back and forth. It is really heavy. Secondly....... the trigger pull is very easy and that's a good thing.... the bad is..... the trigger feels like you are pulling it for a mile. You can conscientiously feel the length of the pull. I would say the trigger pull is 3/8" +-. I hate the long trigger pull.
Besides that...... I love this bow. I have become accurate and it has never let me down.
