Used this great skillet to cook all my meals on a recent three night solo camping trip! From Beef stew, to fried rice with pork to breakfast sandwiches, to sunny side eggs, and toasted english muffins - I even forgot butter, but had no issues with anything sticking to the nonstick surface. If you are looking for a low wattage skillet to use with a small solar generator, look no further - This is a permanent part of my camp kit. So easy to use and clean, and doesn;t take much space. Perfect for solo meals!

I wanted a small skillet that was just right for one, sometimes two, people. This is the one! I made some homemade taquitos/rolled tacos in this and was so happy with the results. It is just the perfect size to make 5-6 rolled tacos at a time. It heats up evenly and quickly. I love being able to control the temperature with the easy to read dial.

My favorite part though is the easy clean up. Because this is a smaller, lighter unit, draining grease is so simple. I can pick this up and drain it with no struggles. It looks brand new after each use because of this easy clean up. The manual says it is dishwasher safe, but I have only hand washed it after each use.

I have also browned ground beef (mince) with ease. It held one pound of beef with no problems. I will never again use my skillet on the stove top; this skillet is so much nicer and easier to use. I find because it heats up so quickly, and I can control the temperature, food cooks quicker which helps to keep the kitchen cooler and not cost as much to use. I should add, the glass lid is strong, secure and fits tightly.

This really is a fantastic little skillet. I cannot recommend it enough.

Just for those considering an electric skillet, you really can't beat the price point for this unit's large cooking area and truly even heat distribution, on top of the super easy to clean and really, really non-stick surface. One of the things that was a big frustration with round skillets is the heat element that only heats directly above the element. This unit is a rectangle - 16" x 13" - which doesn't sound like much but when you see it, it's really big. Plenty of room to cook and I appreciate that it's over three inches deep, making it easy to flip foods without any going overboard. And, as for the heating elements, they're all over the bottom of the skillet so when you're cooking, ALL your food gets cooked evenly and at the same time. Plus, this thing is big enough and sits high enough that you can slide a couple of plates, (I would take caution if your plateware is plastic), UNDER the cooking surface to warm them up before you serve your meal. I always put my cooked food on warm plates so that the food doesn't cool off while sitting on a cold plate. I used to have to warm them in the microwave, but now I can keep them right in front of me while I cook. For the price, you just can't beat it. I spent a lot of time researching before buying this model, some were cheaper by a few bucks and many were a lot more, $20 to $100 more, but I would recommend this product over all of them. You won't be sorry.

Again, this product review is for the large 16" x 13" ONLY. I read elsewhere that people had similar issues with cooking elements on smaller units where they only use ONE heating element and you end up with the same problems while cooking. I highly recommend that you spend the extra few bucks to get this larger unit, (it's really amazing how large it is when sitting on your counter), and whether it's a first time purchase or replacement buy, get the bigger one.

We are renovating our kitchen and needed a cooking surface that would give us maximum flexibility. This pan is nice and wide, so it's easy to use for a lot of different foods. The non-stick surface is exceptional. The temperature control is really good and appears to be spot on compared with my former stove. We don't have a DW to put it in, but I have been washing it without any worries on where the water goes.

The one caveat is the pan area directly over the heating coil gets significantly hotter than the edges of the pan. If this is your one and only cooktop cooking appliance, you might want to read more reviews to see if a more expensive model would be better for you. This one is perfect for us.

Our previous electric skillet turned out to be very difficult to clean and had hot spots so it was time for it to bid adieu. But we needed to replace it and bought this. My wife does the majority of the cooking and she loves the cooking surface and how deep it is. So far, it's been easy to clean and cooks everything well.
