As someone who has worn solely Dickies for the past 25+ years. Wanted a pair of shorts that were more lightweight and breathed better especially during the summer months. Definitely lighter and do breath fairly well. Due to the nylon in construction I do believe that does affect the breathability a little bit. Have not worn and washed enough times to review overall durability. Only concern for longevity and durability is the exposed stitching in some key areas. All around descent pair of shorts but would recommend purchasing when on sale.
