This tent is amazing. It simply pops opens! There are ample amount of ties on the tent to hold the tent up whether it is on the truck cab or on the ground. It is lightweight so it is good for warmer weather. To simply put back, the 3 poles are connected then you twist the circle in a figure 8 and fold it and put the strap on it to hold it and then pop it in the bag. It is a beautiful color also. There are 2 inside zip up screens, zip up door and zip up window. And then a large canopy to cover the top. The kids are so excited to give this to their father on fathers day! Because this is going to be a gift, you can see that even if you wanted to set it up outside on the ground it is really nice and roomy!! Great job, Alvantor!
Good tent. More windows would make it perfect
A Tough Critic✓ Verified Purchase•August 12, 2023
This is by far the easiest truck bed tent to set up. Putting it away takes time to learn but once you figure it out, it's not too bad.
But the only thing that woudl make it perfect are more windows especially on the side for ventilation. It is way too hot to use in the summer due to lack of windows, except solely to sleep in.
A lot more windows and ventilation would be worth paying an extra $30-$40 for this thing.

Check your poles upon arrival.

Check your poles. One of the 3 poles was broke and I didn't check until I was ready to use the tent several months after purchase. EighteenTek reached out and offered to replace the tent after a not so favorable rating. I am changing my rating to reflect their willingness to support the product.

The product come with broken sticks but I did not findout until one month later when I opened it on the camping site. I emailed them, they replace a new one for me very quick. This product is very easy to set up and fits very well for my truck. The product has one year guarantee and good customer service.
Fits perfect & works great

The truck tent fits great in our Ford F150 with 6.5 ft bed. It extends onto the tailgate, and easily fits my 75" mattress with space to spare at the end for my shoes. I liked how easy it attached to the vehicle and that it didn't interfere with my kayak rack for height. I could sit on my mattresses stacked (6") without having my head hit the top of the domed part (I'm 5'9"). We were out over two very warm nights with heat advisories in affect during the day, but the airflow with all windows open was good enough to allow me to sleep.
After the first night we pulled the tent out, sat it on the ground (mattresses & bedding still inside), and drove off for adventures. When we returned, we picked it up and slid it back in place. Only trick was getting the back poles around the wheel wells.
We're thinking of building a deck at wheel well height so we have the full width the full length.
Even though we had practiced setting up and closing it before we left on our trip, it still feels like its gonna break when you fold it up. My pop-up windshield cover, and my pop-up closthes hamper both have wire in them, this has fiberglass poles. I feel like the pop-up wire bends & flexes easier.
We ended up, out of caution, just connecting the three loops, and laying it flat in the truck bed with the bedding on top of it. Minimal space taken, and we could roll down the truck bed cover. Finished closing it up and putting back in the bag when we got home.
My partner doesn't read directions & "figures it out" and connected the wrong hoops together. Luckily I caught it before anything bad could happen - like a broken pole.
So that's why I took off one star. I think it would be helpful to have color coding or something similar for the big poles that cross at the dome at their connection points. I'm thinking of painting on nail polish or using sharpies to color the matching ends. My partner connected B-to-C and C-to-B instead of C-to-C and B-to-B. I'm afraid that will happen again and he'll collapse & twist it and we'll have a broken pole or two.
We didn't set up the rainfly, so I can't address how well it works. So far, loving this thing! Super handy!
