It holds 14 pickleballs. It easily swallows the balls when you push the open end onto the ball lying on the ground or court. The shoulder strap makes it easy to carry without occupying your hands so you can carry other things. The thick black rubber band at the top end keeps the balls in the tube until you want to remove the band and pour the balls out into a container.

This ball picker is of robust construction, and includes an extra rubber band. But the claim of 15 (or 16) ball capacity is just false. It is chock full at only 14 pickleballs. This is disappointing, because my pickleball practice machine holds 15 balls; and i purchased this picker expecting it to match that capacity.
