Budget mountain snowshoe
Brian Wrona✓ Verified PurchaseOctober 28, 2023
Look no farther for a budget mountain snowshoe. Cant say how long they'll last, but they seem pretty well made, You'd they have all the features you'd look for in a mountain snowshoe. You'd have a tough time finding a set of poles alone for the price, let alone poles and snowshoes. And the poles seem like great quality too. Will try them out this weekend and see how they hold up. Don't think they will offer the best floatation based on the design, but for certain conditions, seems like they'll work great.
Great snowshoes for lots of ice and snow!

Easy to put on and take off. Great traction and grip on snow and ice. Used around Yellowstone's Icy boardwalks during the winter season. Very impressed with the teeth along the bottom! Highly recommend these.
Well Designed and Half the Price

Many of the reviewers here have already called out the wonderful features and quality components of the G2 snowshoes from Go2gether. They aren't wrong in their assessments.

For half the price of some higher end snowshoes, these snowshoes offer many of the same features at the same build quality as those "top tier" brands. What you get is a lightweight, quality snowshoe that is comfortable and easy to use from start to finish. Additionally, the grip and surface area afforded by these snowshoes does the job well. I have little doubt these will perform in deep pack and drifts after the heaviest winter storms.

As a man of somewhat average height and build, I went with the 25" shoes. They seem just about right for my needs. Going up to the 30" certainly would have been overkill, and the 25" permits enough utility without excess (or making it feel like trying to walk on skis).

My only real concern about these snowshoes is regarding plastic used in the product. The plastic doesn't have much give to it, and it feels somewhat thin in places. The only way I can describe it is that the plastic feels like the type that gets fragile in extreme cold"¦ the kind that likes to break in such conditions (think, five gallon bucket style plastic). This has me a bit concerned about using these shoes when the winter weather gets real in my neck of the woods (below zero F is relatively normal). Time will tell on that front, but I won't be shocked if a part of these snowshoes cracks or chips in such conditions.

Overall, this is a solid product that approaches or meets many of the features associated with snowshoes at a much higher price point. While the durability of the plastic does present some concern, I'm sure I will get plenty of use out of the G2 shoes in the winters to come.

4/5 stars, overall. These snowshoes will do what you need them to do"¦ at a fraction of the price!
First Ever Snowshoes, But I Like Them!

I have never owned a pair of snowshoes. It's one of those things I've always wanted to get and never did until now. Also, I want to say that I've only used them once so far in pretty light snow, but with supply chain issues and how long it takes to get things these days, I wanted to get this posted for any other rookies out there who might be trying to decide if they should buy these or not. I will update this review once I get some deep snow, but my initial impression is that they are pretty good quality for snowshoes not on the higher end of the cost spectrum.

First though, these did not come with instructions, so I had to Google how to put them on and how to use them properly. That's not a big deal because I think it's how most of us figure most things out anymore. Before watching the video, they had looked really complex to me. But once I watched it, putting them on was super slick and easy. There are just three straps and they hook just like snowboard bindings. It wound up taking me longer to put on and tie my boots than it did to put on the snowshoes. It's that simple and they stayed on nicely. Other than having to adjust them once to tighten them a little bit because I had them too loose to start with, they were perfect.

Also, initially I had been baffled by the flip up metal piece by the heel, until I watched the video and found out that it is a hugely important feature for when you go uphill. It worked well and is something you want to definitely make sure you have on any snowshoe you buy. Without a heel lift like that, your legs will kill you when you go uphill.

This set of snowshoes also comes with some poles. They seem pretty solid as well. They have the flip locks like better quality hiking polls I have used, and I was able to tighten them well and they did not slip. I also wasn't quite sure how to put the bigger basket on the bottom, so I had to watch the video on that too, and it turns out you have to pull and turn at the same time to get them to engage in the little grooves, and then they just unscrew. It's really simple if you know what you're doing. . . Ha! (Just like most things, right?)

The carrying/storage bag seems a little flimsy, and I don't really know how well they're going to stand up over time but everything looks and feels pretty solid, so I'm quite optimistic.
Great on first try going up Mt. Rainier

I had a great time hiking up Mt. Rainier with these. Carried my skis up, and skied down. The poles were a great addition.
I can't comment on durability after one tour, but they look great afterwards, with no signs of wear or damage.
I wanted something less expensive since I won't use these often.
