Really impressed with these snowshoes!
Andreea✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 28, 2023
I used the snowshoes for the first time at the Mount Rainer National Park. They were versatile and worked really well. A bit hard to strap on at first but once you get the hang of it, you can do it faster. That heel support helped quite a bit climbing up. I believe they perform as well as the similar more expensive snowshoes. I don't know yet in the long run how the plastic will perform, but for now I am super happy with these. If you do not want to spend a lot and still want good snowshoes with heel support, these are the ones for you.
23" 4.7 lbs and great grip

These snowshoes are very similar to other name models. From the spikes and grips on the bottom- to the straps on top. For 100 buck coming in at 4.7 lbs you cannot go wrong with these. If you want to drop 350 and get lightning for 3.8 lbs that is the next best shoe. But for 1/3 price and 1 pound weight. Killer snowshoes. So far I have done many trips up some great snow and hilly terrain. Loving the views from the top.
Great snowshoes for lots of ice and snow!

Easy to put on and take off. Great traction and grip on snow and ice. Used around Yellowstone's Icy boardwalks during the winter season. Very impressed with the teeth along the bottom! Highly recommend these.
Great on first try going up Mt. Rainier

I had a great time hiking up Mt. Rainier with these. Carried my skis up, and skied down. The poles were a great addition.
I can't comment on durability after one tour, but they look great afterwards, with no signs of wear or damage.
I wanted something less expensive since I won't use these often.
First Ever Snowshoes, But I Like Them!

I have never owned a pair of snowshoes. It's one of those things I've always wanted to get and never did until now. Also, I want to say that I've only used them once so far in pretty light snow, but with supply chain issues and how long it takes to get things these days, I wanted to get this posted for any other rookies out there who might be trying to decide if they should buy these or not. I will update this review once I get some deep snow, but my initial impression is that they are pretty good quality for snowshoes not on the higher end of the cost spectrum.

First though, these did not come with instructions, so I had to Google how to put them on and how to use them properly. That's not a big deal because I think it's how most of us figure most things out anymore. Before watching the video, they had looked really complex to me. But once I watched it, putting them on was super slick and easy. There are just three straps and they hook just like snowboard bindings. It wound up taking me longer to put on and tie my boots than it did to put on the snowshoes. It's that simple and they stayed on nicely. Other than having to adjust them once to tighten them a little bit because I had them too loose to start with, they were perfect.

Also, initially I had been baffled by the flip up metal piece by the heel, until I watched the video and found out that it is a hugely important feature for when you go uphill. It worked well and is something you want to definitely make sure you have on any snowshoe you buy. Without a heel lift like that, your legs will kill you when you go uphill.

This set of snowshoes also comes with some poles. They seem pretty solid as well. They have the flip locks like better quality hiking polls I have used, and I was able to tighten them well and they did not slip. I also wasn't quite sure how to put the bigger basket on the bottom, so I had to watch the video on that too, and it turns out you have to pull and turn at the same time to get them to engage in the little grooves, and then they just unscrew. It's really simple if you know what you're doing. . . Ha! (Just like most things, right?)

The carrying/storage bag seems a little flimsy, and I don't really know how well they're going to stand up over time but everything looks and feels pretty solid, so I'm quite optimistic.
