Helps with anxiety

I love this product so much. I finally feel like I can breathe a little and sleep. The fear of SIDs has me so bad that I just find myself staring at my baby non stop to make sure he is breathing. TBH this even helped my anxiety when I left my baby with an in-law to be babysat for the first time.
However I do wish there were other features with the sock, I know other devices can track if a baby rolled over, and other pulses. I also wish there was a safely feature where if let's say my baby stopped breathing an EMS was called, of course would like a feature in the app that says I don't need one or if I don't reason within X amount of time that one would be sent over automatically. That I feel like would be even more life saving. But I love the sock.

I did have a hard time getting everything set up, setting up the base drove me bananas it would not accept my wifi, then not accept my wifi password. Then finally when the base was connected, I had a hard time getting the sock to pair. But after that everything has been easy

I know pediatricians don't necessarily recommend this but coming from an open heart surgery momma, this has saved many nights of worries. It is definitely not a hospital grade monitor but the app is easy to navigate and works well! Worth the money
Peace of Mind

Even if the Owlet isn't 100% foolproof, it's peace of mind for anxious parents like myself. I still put my baby to sleep on a flat surface like his crib, pack n play, or on his blanket on the floor. I don't use extra blankets or a thick swaddle. We put our baby on his back to sleep too. He only takes naps on his tummy if I am going to stay awake beside him. We still use the Owlet sock during naps and at night though as an extra peace of mind.
Good for tracking sleep patterns

My baby is an ex-preemie at 34 weeks. He was in the NICU for a few days and I always worry about his O2 levels and heart rate. I like that I'm able to monitor his oxygen and pulse rate. I also like that I am able to know he's OK while he's sleeping, while I try to do some household chores. Regarding the accuracy of the numbers, I am not sure if it is 100% accurate, but I like that I can see his sleeping patterns. I asked my pediatrician about this owlet dream sock, she says she has mixed feelings about it.
Best registry purchase of all, hands down!!!!!!

BUY IT! This was the absolute best thing we bought out of all baby products. All the hospital nurses told me I wouldn't need it because it could have false readings which would stress me out blah blah"¦ They were well meaning but I'd rather deal with that then not sleeping. When I brought my little one home I literally could not sleep as I was sick with worry that something would happen and I wouldn't know. After three nights of less than an hour sleep each, I bought this gadget"¦ and the day we got it was the first night I slept without waking frantically to check on my baby. I still use it at 5 months and plan to for the whole year.

Pros:
-You cab finally sleep mama
-Changing sock sizes, cleaning etc is super easy
-Peace of mind
-Heart rate and oxygen monitoring

Cons:
-You have to reload the app a lot but it's not a big deal as I prefer current readings in real time
-You have to turn the base off if you are rocking baby because it will go off lol
-If you put the sock on wrong, you'll get a false reading without an alert sometimes (I put it on wrong and I didn't get a warning for the oxygen being 90 because it's set to notify you if it gets lower than 80.. but my pediatrician said anytime oxygen is below 95 I should try to reposition the sock or put it on the other foot and if it doesn't go back to 97-100 that I should go to the ER).

All in all I LOVE this thing and would repurchase it a thousand times over. Thank you to the inventor of Owlet, you are helping so many parents get some much needed rest and peace of mind.
