nice day pack
California Doberman✓ Verified Purchase•October 13, 2023
This backpack is small and that is why I bought it. It is perfect for a day hunt. It is small enough to be able to carry your rifle on your shoulder comfortably.
Today a friend and I went scouting and I brought it with me. While we hiked I carried everything we needed. 2 water bottles in the 2 mesh water bottle pockets. Extra water in the main compartment, sweatshirts, and a few other things.
I am 5 foot 8 and my buddy is 6 foot 5 this back pack fit both of us comfortably.
The backpack has one main compartment that has a spot for a bladder, and a mesh pocket with a zipper. On the outside there are two compartments the top one fits a pair of 10x42 binoculars perfectly, the bottom pocket is very roomy.
Do not buy this backpack if you are looking for a large pack. Like the title says it's a day pack. It's small but exactly what i was looking for.

Not too small and not too big. More pockets needed I think.

This bag is nice. Not too big and not too small. I wished the waist belt/buckle had a zippered pocket to keep stuff at hands reach and not have to remove the pack from your back to get from in the bag. Each side pocket holds 2 small bottles of water. The two outside pockets holds med kit and other handy stuff pretty well. The inside compartment is large enough to hold a change of clothes, food and other gear. Sewing seems strong so far. All in all, a nice bag.
The price is great and the amount of room inside this bag is ...

I want to write this review. I bought 1 then another. Now I am buying 2 more, 1 to use now and one as a back-up.
The price is great and the amount of room inside this bag is incredible. I can't speak about the reported issues for larger people but I find it appropriate to comment about the amount of space inside this bag.

When I hunt, I like to bring quite a bit into the woods with me. A thermos, extra/different hat, maybe a shirt, calls, lunch, etc.... This backpack wouldn't be able to hold everything I need.
Obviously he doesn't have this bag. For the items he described as not fitting in the bag, he could have put 10 of these combined items inside!
Unless of course he brings enough lunch to feed 10 people.
My point is, I watched a review video and the person put a small tent in the bag. So I tried it. And it fits, along with a lot of other stuff.
Until now, I never used more than a fanny pack. So of course, this is much bigger but the amount of stuff this bag holds more than compensates for its size.
If you need more space, spend the money and buy a full sized framed backpack. Such an item will definitely have more space )
I am impressed with the quality and space in this bag.

Bought This looking for a guide pack for day trips. Already used it on an elk, and a deer hunt hunt with a friend. The pack held every thing we needed for a single day in the field.
Great for day spots and everyday hunter getting in and out of their spots.
Drawbacks are the use of a camelback would lower the cargo area, plan for this based on your hunt, hike, weather.
Very comfortable, I had this pack loaded on a couple of days I couldn't tel that the hunting knives and other hard items were right on the back.
Plenty of easy access to the rib pockets. Only issue with storage is the belly strap could of offered some light storage.
Doesn't, really seem to be capable of carrying a rifle with this pack, new that going in and it's still the right size to sling the rifle on your shoulder.

Really like the bag. Best bargain for the money, by far. Material is excellent and the size is just right for a day hunt, possibly an overnight hunt in good weather. For a six mile hike in and out on a half day trip I had no issues with fit or comfort.
Only two improvements I would like to see and if I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. First, some slots or other places to hold small items inside the pockets. This isn't a big deal but would be kinda nice for certain things. Second, get rid of the zipper flaps and use waterproof zippers. The flaps are annoying for me and get in the way. They especially make the lower back pocket effectively smaller because it's difficult to get items in and out when the pocket is full. The flap does fold out of the way very well. I realize this will increase cost but it would be worth it for such an excellent bag. I plan to purchase the Traverse pack in the next month or so and have recommended both to buddies. Happy hunting.
