This laminator is much higher quality than the standard $30 options that you can buy at most big box stores. It's a great choice for a small business, homeschool household, teachers, etc. The best thing about it is how quickly it works. It heats up in approximately 52 seconds for a 3mm pouch and once heated, it laminates far quicker than other budget options.

I have run approximately 30 different pouches through this machine so far without any issues. No jamming, no bubbling, and close seals around all documents. I have tested this with both the laminating pouches included with the machine and with Scotch 3mm laminating pouches and they've both worked flawlessly.

The complaints that I have about this machine are merely annoyances versus true issues. I find that it is a little unwieldy to use. It's heavy, with one side being heavier than the other, and the body is made of flimsy plastic. This is certainly not drop safe. If you plan to set up this machine in a specific location and leave it there, it's great, if you have to pull it out for use and tuck it away when done, this is more of consideration. The second issue is that there isn't a built-in paper catcher. The paper catcher that they include is two thin metal pieces that you attach to the back of the unit. They feel cheap and look tacky. If aesthetics aren't important, this does work, but I find it unattractive.

Overall, I would recommend this machine. It's a workhorse that can handle a lot of laminating and do it quickly and easily. The main issue that I have with this machine is the price, but if you can afford it, it's a great choice.

This is perfect for my office. Heats very fast and laminates fast.

***Updated review: First, after using this machine continually for the last few weeks, I am so impressed with how well it works compared to the many other laminators I have used in the past. I did, however, end up with a problem because I cut the laminator pouch too small and put it through the machine causing it to get caught on the inside and in essence, ruining the laminator. I contacted the manufacturer to see what could be done and the response was immediate! Within less than 24 hours they are sending a replacement machine and it will arrive in just two days. Literally, from the beginning of the problem to the full resolution will be less than 72 hours. What amazing customer service! I still love the machine and now know that if I want to use small pieces of laminate I should use a lamination sleeve***

I purchased a much smaller laminator last week that couldn't handle laminating two sheets of copy paper inside a 5 ml pouch. Heaven forbid I try to laminate cardstock! I decided to spend the extra money for a commercially rated laminator and the difference is AMAZING! This model, the ProLami F3410 is the lowest end of the commercial options from this manufacturer and the benefits of the higher priced models didn't have enough additional benefits to justify the added cost for me. All laminate up to 10 ml and all can do foiling if I decide that is something I want to do in the future.
I had a 17-page project to laminate and the previous laminator left bubbles and didn't fully seal the 5 ml pouches to the copy paper inside. I hoped that running them through multiple times would help, but even after 3-4 tries I only had minimal success. Rather than throwing the entire project away, I saved it in the hopes that the new laminator would fix the problem and sure enough, this laminator SEALED the bubbles and issues that the former laminator didn't seal! Even after they had already been through the laminator multiple times, it only took one time through to fix the mess with this laminator. Amazing!!! So glad I decided to spend the extra money on this machine. It's a life saver for my project!

I already had the scotch brand laminator. The scotch is limited to 3 or 5mm pouches.

I wasn't sure if this product would accomplish what I wanted. I have to say, it is one of the best laminators in my opinion. It has more than just the 3m option for laminated pouches. It also takes 5, 7, and 10m. It's nice to have the different options for what I need on each project. So quick to warm up and you can laminate several pieces before it needs to take a break. Very happy with this purchase. Definitely worth it.
