I really like the drone. The pictures are pretty good and it's easy to fly. My biggest issue is the 2 batteries that it comes with does not fully charge. Whenever I put them in the drone after charging (all lights lit up) it's at maybe at 60% or so and drops pretty fast. You may get a solid 10 minutes of flight time per battery. They also take a long time to charge. I'm not sure if it was designed this way or if I got faulty batteries but it's frustrating.

EDIT: The company reached out to me and provided me with 3 spare batteries. Also, when my drone randomly lost power and broke, they replaced it for me.

My wife always asks what do you want for your birthday. At my age I simply don't need any more clothes.

How about a drone I ask. Wife looks at me all confused and asks what I'll do with it. I reply, I don't know, but I'll probably use it more than a sweatshirt hanging in the closet.

As a first timer, I must say I'm quite impressed. Set up was a breeze. It's nice that it has settings for beginner that limit the height and range. After a few flights, we started extending the range. Haven't quite yet opened it up to maximum settings, but should soon.

Can't wait to get it out of the subdivision and fly it somewhere scenic. I see comments about picture quality not being the best, but new to the drone scene, I'm more than happy with the results.

Still need to get a SD card and record video, but happy with results so far.

I know I could spend 10x as much, but don't see how I would be 10x as impressed.

I'm not one to normally review a product whether positive or negative, but for anyone contemplating getting into flying a drone, I can't recommend this one enough. Definitely won't break the bank, and the performance, ease of use and battery life are more than I expected.

This is a nearly professional level drone. It supports most of the functionality of more expensive models, including auto-homing when it's signal is lost or the battery is low, point-of-interest circling, following, using both gps and visual data, waypoint flight, a 3-directional gimbal on the camera mount, high-res photos or video, and so on, all controllable from the light-weight hand-held controller. It has about a 1km range and can fly at the 400M legal height. The only feature it doesn't have is obstacle-avoidance, so some care has to be taken to make sure its path is clear if it goes into auto-home mode unexpectedly. Still, it is simply a well-performing little drone, and is well worth the money.

When I received it and opened the box, I was a bit surprised at its smallish size - I was envisioning something a bit larger. But that was strictly a result of my expectation and nothing to do with its performance or quality. It is well-built, using a good quality ABS plastic, and is very durable-feeling. Because it is small and low to the ground, it cannot usually be launched from a grassy surface, but the makers have included a small "takeoff and landing pad", made of cardboard, so not the best quality, but still usable when necessary. You also must have an iPhone or Android smartphone with GPS functionality, since the drone connects to your phone for GPS tracking and Wi-Fi connectivity. An app on your smartphone also serves as the visual display device (but not as the controller itself) while flying.

Keep in mind that this drone must be registered with the FAA, and the pilot must have a license to fly it. Fortunately, registration is online, immediately downloadable and free, and the operator's license costs only $5.00, also available online and downloadable, so conforming to FAA requirements is not difficult. Be sure to read all the rules and flight regulations involved though. For drones, they can be significant.

Note that this drone is not a toy and cannot be flown legally by children under the age of 12. When you take it for its maiden voyage, you'll see why.

So if you are considering buying a drone, I can highly recommend this one.

This is my first time flying a drone, after a quick glance through the manual this thing was easy to figure out and get in the air. Since this is my first drone I went with the more budget model this way if I broke it it wouldn't hurt so much but with that said the camera works great and the drone seems relatively stable in light winds so it doesn't seem like they cut many corners to get this drone to this price point.

I would definitely refer friends who aren't in to drones but are thinking about getting one that works good and won't break the bank to consider giving this guy a try.

This is a great entry-level/beginner drone. I have very limited experience, primarily with cheaper toy quality products.

I was able to get this drone in the air very quickly, once the battery and controller fully charged. The drone batteries take about 2.5 hours to fully charge - giving you about 20-26 minutes of flight time each. As a result I recommend keeping a cache of charged batteries at the ready.

I've only flown the drone a few times, both time with minimal wind. The drone is definitely impacted by slight wind - as a result you shouldn't expect high-quality stable video. I did not install the SD card in the drone, but the app does capture both photos and video directly to the phone storage. I suspect the quality might be better when captured to the SD card.

If you're looking for an entry-level / beginner set up to start building some drone skills this is a great choice.
