We now have six of these chairs because we love them so much. They are lightweight and on the smaller side which is a plus for us since our farm is huge and we sometimes need to move them around. We love that they are made of real wood but that the price is better than many of the plastic ones. Our Airbnb guests love them.

I put these together. First one took about an hour, second one about 30 minutes. One of the boards cracked during installation. Not happy about that but might be OK. If that board makes it fall apart I will come back and lower the 5 to a 4 or 3.

Bottom line, if you are under 220# you are going to love these (my wife). If you are my size you will feel you could break them with a karate chop if you chose to. Don't karate chop them. You will like them.

My neighbors already called to say they think they look good. My wife likes that. I just like having somewhere to sit in the front yard.

Bottom line, I think you will like these. I liked them enough I wanted to write a review. When you build them and you should use a drill, set the pressure to around 6 and go no higher than 8.

Lastly, the only criticism. I know how to fit a bit to a screw. The bolts seem to not be the best material. The strip if you are not careful. I have a couple bolts that are likely going to rust.

For $140 (for 2) I recommend you purchase.

Update to previous review. With the help of family we assembled the rest of the chairs in record time. One of the chairs had a small crack in the armrest. As it sat in the sun while assembling other chairs the crack grew to about a 12 inch split in the wood. I immediately contacted the seller and forwarded a picture of the flaw while informing them I did not want to disassemble and return the chair. The seller quickly responded and sent me a replacement armrest. I received the new armrest several days later and have installed it. It's a perfect match and I'm very impressed by the sellers response. 5 Stars! Thank you.
I ordered 6 of the large chairs and I would've given these chairs 5 stars if I hadn't seen some really nice vinyl ones at Costco for only $25 more. But they do not fold and that was a big seller for me. They were also an ugly gray color. There is a lot of criticism in the reviews about the finish and assembly difficulties. The finish is fair and they aren't the smoothest but you won't get splinters. The color is beautiful but I may spray them with a weather seal for added protection. Because they're foldable I can easily put them under cover. As for the assembly it was like anything else you buy these days and very little except the seat was pre-assembled. Any moron can figure out the easy picture instructions. I put one together in less than an hour while wearing a sling on my right arm while recovering from extensive shoulder surgery. I hope to get some help with the other 5. I had to do no drilling, as others have noted, and only used a cordless drill with a Phillips head bit and the provided socket wrench. I did add some wood glue to the backrest frame joints to increase strength and hopefully longevity. Good hardware is provided as well. I wish they were a little bigger but they are comfortable for me at 6'-1" 275lbs. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a decent folding Adirondack chair.

My front porch needed some TLC, and plants weren't cutting it. So, I set off in search of Adirondack chairs to complete the look. Every option made with real wood was priced exorbitantly at well over $200 per chair. Since I wasn't looking to break the bank on a handful of chairs, I kept searching.

Eventually, I came across these. The price for two was less than I'd seen for one single chair, and after reading some reviews, I decided to commit. When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see they were actually made with real wood (you never know) and felt pretty sturdy. It took us about an hour to set up both chairs using screwdrivers and wrenches, although we could've sped up the process using power tools.

They feel sturdy and look great! For the price, I think these chairs are well worth it.
