I've had many compliments on this set. I bought this as a gift and was extremely pleased with quality for the price.

Bought this and received it 3 days earlier than expected. Has good weight too it. Not super light or super heavy but just right. The detail is great considering the price. I purchased the brown and beige set. Was on sale for 60$ at the time of purchase. I recommend this if your looking for a set that's not plastic and made from wood.

Felt bottoms are not straight on all the pieces. Weight is good but not great, the pieces are a bit light for me. The latch doesn't stay closed. The insert for storing the pieces is not foam, its a thin piece of shaped plastic that is easily depressed in the middle so the pieces move around when transporting the closed case. The finish on some of the pieces isn't great.

The design is beautiful. The board and piece sizes are perfect. For me, the price was spot on for what I got.

Overall: some of the details were not perfect but I still love it. I'm planning on replacing the latch and felt bottoms and also making a custom foam insert for the pieces. I know having these details already done would've increased the price above what I would want to pay so I don't mind so much. I think the price was just right. My rating is based on how it was recieved so I gave a semi low rating for craftsmanship and a low rating for traveling. After my own modifications, it will be perfect.

Beautiful hand carved wood pieces on a the largest board I have ever played on. We leave it set up for display. Love the fact it is handcrafted in Poland.

This chess set is very well made and am very happy with it and looks great and is a good sized board. The only downside is that there is no extra queen, but I wouldn't view this as a dealbreaker at all.
