Having issues with over-watering, as you can see in the second picture. First picture displays accurate reading as well, as I had previously checked the soil without a meter. I've read some disheartening reviews, but I think they're just duds. It's not that difficult to return the item if it doesn't work and just order a replacement. Seller seems decent enough. Would recommend!
Works, but not for chunky soils

I got this to help prevent root rot in my plants. I wish the probe was skinnier. I have a hard time getting it in my plants without hitting roots. Also, if you use a chunky soil, this is not going to give you accurate results because there's a lot of air in the chunky mixes. Be sure to check multiple different spots in your plants since the middle of the pot is obviously going to be wetter than the outer edges. But like I said.. it is hard to get this thing through one spot, let alone a few different spots. Overall, it does work with the proper plants/soil. I went back to the finger test. 🤷ðŸ¼"â'€ï¸
