I was worried it would be more purplish by some of the pics, but on my daughter's ash brown hair with blonde chunks in the front, it evenly covered it and a few weeks later the front is only a tiny bit lighter than the rest. I first tried this hair dye years back and it was the first time I colored my hair dark at home and there wasnt any red tint to it. My hair always pulls red. When I needed to recolor it, I got a dark brown box dye from the drugstore and there were the brassy tones again. $30+ taxes and shipping. You're looking at $40 easy for this hair color. Ordering from Amazon at least saves you from paying shipping. Is it worth it? I think so. Still way cheaper than going to the salon.

I have been using Madison Reed hair dye for the past year or so. They have great products. They cover grey well and the application is simple and easy. The dye lasts quite a long time but I will admit there is some fading with time but that is normal for hair dye to do. This time I purchased the shade deep mahogany red and it is gorgeous and so perfect for Fall/winter. I highly recommend this due to anyone who wants a high quality dye at home.
