Being a hobby TIG welder I would use a benchtop grinder and a drill to sharpen the tungsten welding tips. It was messy and just did an okay job. I would have loved a professional sharpener but they are hundreds of dollars. I came across this and realized I had a Dremel lying around not getting much use so I decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. I paid about $60 for it and it works like a charm. It's very convenient and a bargain compared to other options. The quality is very good. I used it today and had some of the cleanest welds I have had in a long time.

Seems a little expensive for such a little thing, but well worth it.
I used to use a diamond disk mounted on the side of a grinder wheel. This is so much better in terms of speed and accuracy of the point. The cutoff to take care of removing contamination is also better than the way I used to just grind it off on a wheel.
I bought a remanufactured battery powered dremel to mount it on permanently and the setup works very well. There are a lot of dremel clones that would have been cheaper , but they don't have the threaded head.

The item works as advertised, consistent angle on the tungsten every time, much better than trying to free hand an a bench or hand grinder. Arc is nice, no irregularities in arc shape. The biggest reason to go with this brand and not one of the others, is customer service. I reached out to them inquiring about a custom setup for my needs and they went above and beyond. Even as I was willing to pay extra, they sent what I was asking for, completely free of charge, which was pleasant surprise and unasked for. Even messaged me to find out if I had received everything, and how it all was working out. It's hard finding quality sellers on Amazon, but this company is one of the few that in my books is top notch.
