I like the fact that I can recharge this battery. I got tired of looking for 6volt batteries, and nobody carries them instore anymore. Not Walmart, nor Target. At least not here in El Paso, Texas. Sales people don't even know what these batteries look like. I asked a young kid for a lantern battery and this kid at Walmart tried to sell me a battery for a boat!!!

Try finding 6 volt batteries for lanterns. Then scream at the price. These are lighter than the one time use cells. They recharge quickly (the port for a mini usb is on the battery). Charged them over 3 months ago, the batteries still perform well and the light has been used for emergency lighting during outages. For the price of two single use batteries, I have rechargeable ones that will last us for years. I have not had to recharge them yet, so they hold the charge well and the lights have several hours of use on them so far.

I bought this to go in a UK600 dive light. I think the bulb in the light is bad, so I'm in the process of replacing it. I do have several LED 6v lanterns that this works well. I like having the bigger rechargable battery without having to buy a caddy for holding several smaller batteries. It's freakishly light compared to a traditional 6v battery, so picking up the latern, I have to check to see if the battery is in it. I haven't tested the longevity/burn time of the battery, but after being off the charger for a month, I've had no issues with it firing up the lantern.
