Does the job needed, anything else is for convenience

We really like this for our daughter who has started to climb out of the crib. It does the job; keeping her inside. In my opinion , the cons are that she doesn't have anything to hold onto when standing up, making it a little easier for her to fall. So keep that in mind, depending on how sturdy your child is on their feet. Another would be that I wish the zipper was ultra quiet. It's not any louder than any other zipper, but it has woken her up before. This is a personal con, but I do not recommend using this if you plan on sleep training at an older age. We got this because we were trying to sleep train because we hadn't, and this just added to the separation anxiety. She would run back and forth because she was a bit scared, and it was so sad so we decided to let her get comfortable with it first before tryin to sleep train again. Besides that, it is a great tool to keep your child inside if they aren't ready for a toddler bed.

Update: We gave our daughter a short bit of time to get adjust to this and then sleep trained her and it was fine :) the canopy, not the training 🤪 just a random suggestion if your child has anxiety with it, I would get into the crib with our daughter and play for a little bit to show her that the canopy is okay and it's "cool" or whatever lol that helped a lot actually. the zipper is no longer an issue since she's awake when we put her down. We've had to open it a few times while she's asleep and we're just careful, but it's not an issue in the slightest.
So far so good. Helpful keeping toddler brother at bay.

I have a 2year old and a 5 month old. My two boys needed to share a room so I had to find something to keep the toddler from smothering his brother with toys and blankets during the night. So far it's working great. It keeps blankies, small pillows, and small toys off the baby. The only thing is it can collapse under the weight of very heavy toys like those large LoveEvery wooden boxes, so I just removed all the big toys from the room. I also read reviews about problems with cameras seeing the baby but I honestly don't have a problem with that at all, maybe it depends on the type of camera you have (mine is the infant optics DXR 8 pro, see photo). Will update review at later date with updates.
Updated: GREAT customer service

Update: After trying to contact customer service and finding no way to do so, I had left a one star review. Within 24 hours of that review THEY reached out to me and sent me a brand new crib tent that works perfectly. I am really impressed by their responsiveness, and for parents with babies who like to escape the crib, these crib tents are GREAT. One thing I think is important to know, though, which is just the nature of a crib tent, is that some kids may be able to get themselves caught in the net by still getting their legs over the edge of the crib while the net is in place, which bends the top of the net forward *just* enough to catch some littles between the net and the outside of the crib when they try to drop down and escape. My daughter did this, and that's we decided it was time to put on the toddler rail to her crib and push the other side up against the wall so there wasn't a way she could get stuck in the netting. The other way to prevent this IMO is to make sure you tie the ribbons properly and tightly so they don't allow the net to move too much. Basically the more you can get the top of the net to stay in place, the less likely a little person can get stuck. If it were me, I'd just move the baby to a toddler bed and use the crib net that way now. It works perfectly by keeping my daughter in her bed (she loves the tent, too), and my daughter can't get stuck that way because even if she were able to bend the net forward in trying to put her feet on the floor, she could easily extricate herself and get back on the bed. Original review: The concept of the product and the fit versus other tents we've had is superior. However, we've had it for less than two months and a very sharp bit of metal has pierced through the fabric, creating a serious hazard if my daughter crawls under her crib during playtime, which she sometimes does. I tried contacting the manufacturer but have no way to do so.
Perfect Solution for Climbing Out!!
Amazon Customer✓ Verified PurchaseMarch 3, 2024
Wow! I'm so impressed by this simple solution! We have a 21 month old son who loves to climb and is absolutely wild. He just learned how to climb in and out of his crib. We are expecting twins very soon and he's not ready to handle the freedom of a toddler bed so we were looking for any solution. This worked great!!!! I just set it up yesterday and we were able to put him down fully awake like we used to before he started climbing out and he fell asleep on his own because he couldn't get out and play. He can't get to the zippers because they're only accessible from the outside (huge plus!) and now he can't mess with his blinds, monitor cord or sock drawer which is an even bigger plus. All in all, we are very happy!

The cons are very minimal and don't even come close to offsetting the pros. Visibility is not great through the monitor (picture included) but we can still see him and we know he's safe and probably safer than he was without it. The other con is that it the bottom does not pop out to a nice rectangle and has some curves in the wiring (may just be from being folded up from packaging) so it did take some maneuvering to get the crib mattress in there. Not ideal for when you're changing sheets but it might fix itself after some use and stretching from the mattress. This is only day one for us. The setup in general was very simple, it was just getting the mattress to fit in the bottom. Only took me a couple minutes.
Best Toddler Purchase

My almost two year old is a daredevil. She can climb out of anything, open any door. So she wouldn't nap or sleep at night constantly getting out of her crib wandering or playing in her room. I was desperate so googled something, anything to keep her from climbing out. This came up. I contemplated because if your child is anything like mine this doesn't look nearly sturdy enough to keep her in. I figured a day or two she'd rip a whole in it to climb out of and it's a little pricey to not work. So a week or so went by. I was desperate. I had a grouchy toddler refusing to nap and said screw it. It's worth a try at this point. BEST THING EVER! She was so mad the first time I put her in. She tried to get out pulled, pushed, everything so gave up and went to sleep. She still gets mad when she sees you zip her in because she knows she is stuck but knows now after many failed attempts she is stuck so doesn't mess with it. Just plays in her crib until falling asleep. I rarely write reviews but if your like me on the fence about purchasing it. Do it. It saved my life. lol
I would also like to add my little hellion decided to undress, take her diaper off and make art. ALL OVER! This thing was covered. So I was like well it's trash anyways and I'll have to get a new one. Let's clean it the best we can and try putting it in the washer. I put it in on delicate, low spin and it came out perfectly fine. I let it air dry. I was worried but figured worth a shot before buying a new one and trashing it.
