I hope you read this review so you can find out now to pour the bubbles in the blue base. Unscrew baby shark from the base and pour the bubbles in the base. It takes AAA batteries. When it turns on it makes a whole lot of bubbles. And I mean a lot of bubbles. Just make sure your little one doesn't stick his finger in the top where the bubbles come out, there is a rotating plastic bar that turns around and round and might not feel good if little fingers get in there. Great party game - set it in the middle of the floor and watch those toddlers go nutty!
