A very good product works perfectly

I have been a fan of internet radios for over twenty years. I used to be a shortwave nut, but the chore of fine-tuning endlessly to get only a mediocre signal was always frustrating. When internet radio became a thing, I was an early adopter, and I have never looked back. The number of stations one can pull in on this Ocean device is mind-boggling, and the sound is crystal clear. The Skytune app which aggregates the stations for this radio provides thousands of options around the U.S. and the world. It is easy to set up. I was connected to the internet and programming stations into its 99-station list of favorites within minutes.

This particular radio offers a number of extras not available on all internet radios and does so at a very modest price. Since it has two speakers, it provides a stereo experience that a single speaker radio does not. I enjoy the separation of the channels, and didn't realize that I had been missing it on earlier radios I have had. This unit also pulls in FM stations, so if the internet should go down, one can still use it. It has Bluetooth capability, so you can stream music from your computer or phone, if you wish. It also has a slot for a tf card, should you have music stored on one.

All in all, for the price, this is a great internet radio. While the sound quality is quite good, it is by no means a boombox. It can provide enjoyment in an average size room, but it is not a replacement for a home stereo system or even a good quality TV sound bar. The sound is more akin to a decent tabletop or bedside radio. That having been said, it is more than adequate for routine listening, even if it does not rattle the windows. I really enjoy it.

The media could not be loaded. This is a wonderful bookshelf/tabletop stereo that has a vintage aesthetic while offering many modern tech features and functions. It would look great in an office, study, or guest room. The most important thing to know is that it sounds terrific. It has deep rich bass and very clear mid-high range. It can play local FM stations (it has an extendible/adjustable antenna), connect your mobile device via Bluetooth, play content from an inserted micro-SD card, connect to a media server, or you can search through thousands of internet radio stations and filter down to any country and any genre. It even will let you search specifically for podcasts. It also offers a nice equalizer function with preset and advanced modes. The large LCD display is easy to read and will let you see a lot of the content information (artist/title/album/station). You can also display the date/time, set up to two alarms, and set a sleep timer. All of the functions can be controlled from the console itself or via the included remote control. The only negative about this stereo is that there is no built-in rechargeable battery, so you'll have to keep it plugged in with the included, old-world AC brick power adapter. I still think this stereo is worth all 5 stars and highly recommend.
