So I bought these without looking at the actual reviews, so now I'm wondering if I made a huge mistake? I didn't want to spend hundreds on LED headlights like other manufacturers wanted. I have a 2016 Ford Transit connect XLT. Had an aftermarket HID system installed, wanted to replace because LED headlights are supposed to be brighter. You WILL need to adjust the lock ring so the LEDs are facing 9 and 3. The LEDs need to be facing outwards, not up and down. The drivers(the bulky unit) needs to be OUTSIDE your headlight housing. You might need to secure the drivers using the included double-sided tape or zip ties so they're not loose. I have NO FAULTS so far, but I just installed them. They look bright but will need to drive at night to see for sure. I'll update my review as I use them. The seals on them were tight fitting, you'll have to push in and turn to secure the headlights. They do have a second pair of seals which may be slimmer, I just didn't try them. I purchased these based on the 4.5 star reading, I didn't read the recent reviews, so now I wait and see if they last. Oh yeah, you go register the headlights on their site, and you'll have a 2 yr warranty. We shall see.

Superb Brightness (5/5):

I won't speak on longevity, as I just finished installing. But:
2007 Camry with OE headlamps and fog lights

I with new headlamps on the way, I know that a lot of my poor lighting is due to the originals I currently have. Although I've taken good care and have restored them a couple times. I noticed an immediate difference between these bulbs and the silverstars I had in previously. The wider view is great. I can see curb to curb easily and I no longer am drowned out by other vehicles lights beside me, nor when incoming traffic is super bright.

I also tried the "Lasfit" brand LEDs and those get very hot very quickly and were dim. I ordered some "Sealights" as well but after seeing these work and the small form factor, along with a very reasonably quiet fan assy that I can only hear when the car is completely off and lights still on (4 total bulbs) I am going to keep theseand return the rest.

I also have little concern that these will melt/heat up the housing on the headlamps as they weren't very hot after being on.

Street signs showed more reflection, but noticed a solid line on cars ahead of me at stop lights so I assume these aren't blinding those in front of me. I'll adjust my headlamps if necessary once the new ones arrive and I replace them. But as of right now these are a plug and play easy install bulb that fits OE headlamps.

I purchased the set of 4 bulbs (2-9005's & 2-H11's) for both the headlights (lowbeam 9005) and fog lights (H11) - and installed them into a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica with the projector beam (kinda) headlights. These projector beam (kinda) headlights use halogen bulbs...not actual HID bulbs.

The new fog lights were likely twice as bright as my oem fog lights; however, the headlights were better, but not at the same level.

Additionally, I then ordered fahren's new brighter headlight (lowbeam 9005) as follows:

These were a significant upgrade in brightness from my original Fahren's- very much brighter than oem bulbs and exactly what I had anticipated.

Now ... what to do with the original Fahren LED 9005 bulbs - I simply replaced my oem highbeams with these.

FINAL THOUGHTS

The original Fahren 9005's are model X3 @ 16,000 lumens per pair (as advertised); however the 2nd set of 9005's are model Q26 @ 24,000 lumens (as advertised).

Based on Fahren claim's - Q26's are 50% brighter than their X3's. I would estimate they are at least 30% and maybe not 50%, but who knows. Regardless, the brightness increase is very much noticeable and far better for my needs and expectations.

Lastly, Q26's install much easier as they do not have a bulky external electronic driver pack.

The only down side is that the bulbs internal fans do create a bit of fan noise, but nothing you can really hear in the car when running - ok...maybe just barely perceptible when at a stop light or with your windows down. Doesn't bother me, but your mileage may vary.

These are very bright! I am very impressed! WELL worth the money! These are well made and the fans are fairly quiet. (They're still fans.)

Here's the Long story: I have a 2014 GMC Sierra. I tried another brand of LED (not sure what brand) in this pickup because the stock ones were horrible and I had a very hard time seeing the road with them. Those other LEDs were okay, but still were not much brighter than stock. I figured that maybe the housings were not letting the light out or something, so I just decided to leave them alone.

I bought these 9012 LED lights for my wife's vehicle and they worked very well! After a short time, my wife decided she was trading her vehicle in. I took these lights back out and put her stock ones back in. Her new vehicle had LEDs, so I didn't need to use these LEDs. After a couple months I ran across these lights in the garage. I decided to see if these lights were any better than the ones I had in the GMC Sierra pickup. I put one light in the GMC Sierra and turned them on. WOW! You wouldn't believe the difference! The other LED that I hadn't changed out was drowned out by the one I just put in!! These also have a set screw for adjustment and the little wrench came with the set! I adjusted both lights, put them in, then put everything back together. I fired up my pickup and drove down the road a little bit and I could actually see the road in front of me better than I ever have been able to in this pickup!! I would most definitely recommend these and I would definitely buy these again!
