Great chair and nice height, but it's loud!

Been using this chair for about 5 months and I love the extra height this chair provides! Cushion and back are supportive and foot rest is okay. My major issue with this chair is that when you are sitting in it and lean to any side it makes a loud creak every single time. I have tried to figure out where the sound comes from but everything is tight. Just something I have to live with I guess. I'm short so my desk ergonomics were never right until I got this chair. I can finally raise my desk chair high enough so that I sit properly at my desk! Hooray!

The assembly was fairly easy and the different bolts were labeled and you can find a quick video to install in under 30 minutes, if not faster. Now, first of all, you should know that footrests on drafting chairs are universally a troubled design, meaning, if the chair is set high up, and you use the footrest to propel yourself to the chair, you will slowly degrade the connection between the footrest and the main chair stem. Even if its threaded, you will work against those threads. Most chair footrest employs a rubberized ring that is tightened via knob which pushes in a screw which makes the rubber seal tighter and increases the grip. This is NEAR universal. So, do not use the footrest to "support" your weight. Secondly, the dimensions of the seat portion are a little on the small side and you will feel like its not much space. This is actually part of the design because if they were to increase the size of the chair, then they'd have to increase the size of the supporting chair plate, and then there are additional supports for the chair plate. Overall, this is a decent drafting chair but I'd recommend you put the chair a little lower than you're used to because it does not have a large seat, nor does it recline. The back support is definitely there and you can lean back, but it wont recline with you and its more of a thigh workout to lean back.

I bought an adjustable height desk and knew I'd need an adjustable height chair to go with it. I looked in stores and online and then chose this chair. And I'm really glad I did - it's a great chair! It assembled easily. I love the look of the chair and it's very comfortable. I also liked that it came in a variety of colors. I chose the white chair with the gray mesh and the gray color is exactly what I hoped for - a soft gray. I definitely recommend this chair!

Things I like about this desk chair. It is fairly easy to assemble. The only issue I had was attaching the seat cushion. The holes weren't lined up perfectly so it took me longer to attach the seat then assembling the rest of the chair. The chair is beautiful. I like that it will adjust for my tall working table. If I'm using my sewing machine I can raise the chair a bit so it is perfect for sewing. Love the foot rest, especially when the chair is raised. Love that the arms fold up out of the way so you can push the chair all the way in. Things I don't like. The chair is about 3" too tall to use with a regular desk height. When I measured the size I needed I measured to the bottom of the chair cushion and should have accounted for the 3" thick cushion. My desk is a standard 29" inches tall. I may have my husband raise my desk so it is more comfortable for me. I also feel like I'm pitched forward a bit when sitting.

I bought this for work because we have desks that rise and go down to regular desk height. I wanted a chair that was taller so I wouldn't be sitting below cubicle walls when I wanted to see out the window on the other side of me. This can be tall or it can be regular desk height.
