I'm just delighted I was able to replace the old pilot light assembly and get hot water again! But the bracket on the assembly that needs to screw onto the burner plate didn't align correctly and I had to bend both the bracket on the assembly as well as on the plate to make it fit. Knowing how delicate the thermal coupling can be, I was nervous doing that would make it not work but, luckily it did!

With everything already assembled it was an easy replacement. It fits my State WH perfectly. Be careful with the pilot supply line because it is made of soft metal and easily kinked. Just take your time to bend it into the shape you need.
