Without a doubt this is a beautiful and well designed and manufactured model. The parts are very high quality and the color and 1x plans are quite superb.
This not a "˜beginner' model. I highly recommend that if you have not built something similar to this that you do not try this one as a first. Although the plans are excellent they are in many cases confusing. The builder will need to reference not only the documentation that comes with the model but the numerous online videos as well as, on occasion, I had to reference images of the actual ship.
Although the manufacturer stated to me that that all parts were included several were not and I actually had to make them from left over wood. They do have a process to order missing parts but it will take a lot of time to get them.
During the build, I am about halfway complete, I found that the hardest part is the rigging as I just could not figure out which blocks to use for numerous locations (confusing diagrams) and the rigging thread provided would not fit through the pre drilled holes so I had to drill out EVERY block for the thread to pass through easily. This is a very tedious portion of the build.
So far I have about 100 hours into the build. I like how it is coming out but in the end it will take me over a year to complete this model.
Be advised. This model is NOT for sissies !!!!
