Historical telling of WWII battle

This is a pretty much spot on recreation of the hunt for the Bismarck. Although the character of the British naval officer who coordinated the hunt from the Admiralty headquarters in London was somewhat fictionalized, especially his budding relationship with his female subordinate (a major nono in reality), the combination of actual combat footage and first-rate miniature special effects make this a compelling film.
