All six of mine worked, they have a sequin in the battery cover that you must remove first, but I noticed the photo says they require AG13 (LR44) batteries. That is incorrect. They require AG3 (LR41) batteries.

I couldn't get these to come on, until I opened the battery compartment and a sequin popped out! I guess this was to prevent the battery from being activated in shipping. Removed the sequin, and screwed the cap back on and it worked great.
