The media could not be loaded. We got a bird feeder for the first time this spring and fell in love with all the birds that visited. So during Prime Days we bought this to up our bird game and it has not disappointed!! The AI feature is not very accurate but that doesn't bother us. That is the reason for 4/5 stars. My husband mounted it on a 4ft Shepards hook by our front porch. He put the squirrel guard on and we have had no issues.
Seems Great!

All in all, this is a quality item from a quality company! I did purchase the solar panel and upgraded perch as well! Neat!

Update: customer service did respond to my inquiry. After working with my mom and not being able to figure out the issue, my money was promised to be refunded.
I bought this gift for my mother for her birthday. She was able to use it for about 3 weeks until the device kicked her out of her account and insisted that her password wasn't her password.
No big deal, right? Reset the password. Only problem is that the instructions sent to her email never arrived. We sent it twice and it never shows up. I even tried to register for an account and nothing is sent to my email. So we cannot reset the password or access the account. We have a $200 piece of equipment that is now a paper weight.
I emailed support days ago and have yet to hear anything. I would not recommend this bird watching device for this reason. A lack of customer service and shady nonexistent emails makes this product unreliable.

Takes my bird hobby to a whole new level

The media could not be loaded. I received my Birdfy for my birthday. I have enjoyed birdwatching for a number of years, and have quite a few feeders. The Netvue Birdfy feeder makes my hobby a lot more interesting. I don't have to jump up and grab my binoculars anymore. The little video clips have provided endless hours of enjoyment. My only complaint is how often it needs charging, and that I have to remove it from its pole and bring it inside every time! And that is a completevpain in the rear! I broke the perch trying to get the dang thing off the pole to bring in for charging, and it doesn't seem that a replacement perch is available other than the one with hummingbird attachment, which I don't want. Al in all, I am very happy with this feeder and am forever thankful to my thoughtful daughter. 💕
Easy to use, lots of entertainment!

I have been using the Birdfy feeder for around a week now, and have been pleased with the product so far. The feeder came disassembled in the box, but with the instruction manual it was very easy to put together. I like that there are multiple ways to install the feeder - you can attach it to a porch railing, a wall, or even wrap the enclosed strap around a tree trunk to install it!
I was also impressed with the motion sensor on this camera. You can set the sensitivity depending on what you want it to capture. When I set it at the highest sensitivity, it not only captured movement right in front of the camera where the birdseed is, but also movement in the background if something moved in my backyard. I would recommend lowering the sensitivity slightly so that only more relevant movement at the feeder itself is detected. The battery life of the camera is very good as well - I have not had to recharge it since the first time. The app is easy to use with a variety of settings you can customize. You can also insert a micro-SD card into the camera to automatically save video and photo from your footage.
Being able to have a live feed of the critters at the feeder has been a lot of fun, especially this time of year when the birds and squirrels are preparing for winter. I will say, depending on how you feel about squirrels eating out of the feeder, you may need to install it in a place squirrels can't climb (the wall of the house, etc.). The hole that the birdseed comes out of is quite large, which does make it easy for squirrels to eat their fill. If you do notice a squirrel at the feeder, there is a bright light and alarm that you can turn on to scare them away. I have not tried it in real time yet, but it was quite loud when I tested it out, so I think it would do the job.
If I had to change one thing, it would be to make the camera detachable from the feeder so that the feeder could be more easily cleaned, or so that I could install the camera near a birdbath or other feeder. It would definitely make it more versatile.
