The product pictures makes this seem like you're getting a very vibrant green powder. What I received was a brownish powder... maybe slightly green.
The texture is very powdery, but it has little bits of fiber in it too, which is unfortunate for using this in a shaker.
The flavor is definitely citrusy, it reminds me of lemon, but it's not quite the same. The name of the spice is perfect... it does taste somewhat grassy too. It's only slightly bitter - much more pleasant to use and eat than dehydrated lemon peal, which tends to be very bitter and harsh.
I ordered this July 2022, and the bag is marked best by March 2025, so a long 32 months expiration from order. Made in India.

Years ago, my dietary options were really trimmed due to medical issues. As a fan of Vietnamese food, I got into Lemongrass at that time. I found a great brand, & then the powder seemed to drop off the market.
I finally found a solution: purchase thin Lemon Grass unground pieces & grind them in a coffee bean grinder! That worked, but it wasn't quite the same.
A few months ago, I reviewed a new (to me at least) powder for Vine from a company called SOEOS. https://www.amazon.com/Soeos-Lemongrass-Powder-8oz/dp/B089DK6TS2 It was yellow in color (this is green), and while this has a very strong flavor, the SOEOS had a very mild flavor.
I use Lemongrass as a seasoning. The Soeos wasn't bad, though a bit too mild.
Then I tried "Ja Ho". https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B14CCQGS It was the opposite; the flavor is quite strong (bitter), & too much tastes significantly bitter.
Then came Vitamatic. It tastes just like the (unremembered brand) of powder I used to use, & like the ground stalks. Though it looks just like "Ja Ho", the smell & flavor are quite different. Priced almost identically to the Ja Ho, the price per ounce is much lower than I was paying years ago.
I made a salmon, vegetable & rice noodle stir fry tonight. Seasoned largely with the Lemon Grass; + smaller amounts of Vietnamese Curry powder, Balsmic Vinegar, unsalted Garlic & spice blend, & fresh Lemon & Lime. It was superb.
This is excellent, & the best on the market that I am aware of. HIGHLY recommended!
