This toothbrush was recommended to me by my dentist (or, really, the dental hygienist, who actually does the clean-up work!) and my teeth have never felt like this other than immediately after a dental appointment. It holds a charge for two weeks, using it twice a day, for two minutes each time. Travels well, I love it, my teeth feel smooth as glass. One word of caution, be sure to check the model that the refills fit--the iO series has a slanted base where it attaches to the motor, and there are other models with a straight base--they are not interchangeable. Get the slanted ones (iO) for this toothbrush.

I chose the simplest of the Oral-B Smart line, because I really think such a device should be simple. (Honestly, I think the higher models which allow an app to follow brushing on your phone tooth by tooth to be a bit ludicrous.) So this model is basic, three speeds, a bit noisy but quite powerful and very fast. I did find the recessed power button not to be particularly responsive (it's easy to press the button less than fully, because of its recessed location). And, at $80 for a model this simple, it may be somewhat overpriced. But there is no disputing its quality.

I bought a Sonicare toothbrush last year. Really liked it. Then got my teeth cleaned last week and hygienist said I need to clean better on the far back teeth. She was right. I've used the Oral B toothbrush for years before that, but it was kind of worn out, the motor was too slow and batter seemed weak. Just got the Oral B toothbrush and it really cleans the back teeth much better than the Sonicare. So now I have both and will probably use both of them with preference for the round head brush on the Oral B.

I bought this toothbrush because I didn't think conventional brushing was doing the job well enough. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it does in removing plaque at the gum line. I charged it when it came as directed. The battery lasted a week with twice daily brushing and charged nicely overnight. Many of the features are great! The green light tells when the pressure is correct and the red light tells you if you brush too hard. The prompt tells you when to switch quarters (30 seconds), this is very nice. Dancing lights tell you if you have brushed for two minutes. Great if you have kids. I do find that I can't tell what cycle the brush is in, so I don't know if I'm in the cleaning, whitening or the other mode. There are two types of brushes that came with this model but I don't know the difference between them or what they are for. The print in the owner's manual is so small, you need a powerful magnifying glass to read them. I would give five stars if the issues I mentioned were addressed.

I have only used this toothbrush once so far but I love it already! I have been using the Oral B 1000 for at least a year and it works just fine but I couldn't stand how loud it was. I found myself avoiding using it because it was so loud and it drove me crazy. I had been thinking about upgrading but didn't want to spend the money. I decided Black Friday was the time to buy and started researching. I started by looking at reviews and ratings and then looked up quieter electric toothbrushes. I landed on the io series and decided to go with the 3 because it was cheapest and still had the features I wanted.

1. It's so much quieter than the 1000!
2. It has settings for normal clean, sensitive and whitening. I'm fine with these 3 and thought brushes with more settings seemed like overkill.
3. It has a pressure sensor. I wasn't sure if I would care about this but when I went to use the toothbrush at my usual pressure it showed me that I wasn't using enough pressure! I was surprised and now I'm wondering if I haven't been brushing my teeth well for a long time!

After using it, my teeth feel so clean like I just got back from the dentist (and I haven't been for a while!) Since I just got it, I can't speak to battery life or charging time but I typically just leave mine on the charger all the time anyway. I am super happy with the purchase!
