You have to freeze the cup first and then pour the drink and squeeze it until it turns to slush.. my daughter loves it and does it for most of her drinks.. fruity drinks or soda works best.

I used it for lemonade and it was good!. I couldn't get the straw to work well so I used a bigger plastic straw made for frozen drinks and it works great. They need to make the straw wider to allow the slush through. I think my grandkids will love this. I may have to buy another one.
