I got a used Waykar, which Amazon described as having a scratched up control panel and a damaged shipping carton. The carton came in a bigger Amazon carton, so if the Waykar carton was dirty, it wasn't a problem. And I didn't notice any damage to the control panel. The fan-speed and hydrostat adjustments work fine.
I've gotten a few "Used" things over the years that Amazon offered as an option instead of New. They have always been much better than described.
I turned on the dehumidifier, and the humidity in the basement, a little over 1000 sq ft. went from 68% to 58% in less than two hours. It went from 58% to 50% in less than two days. Now that you mention it, it runs really quiet. When I first started it up, a cosmetic plastic flap over the output vent opened up, powered by a little electric motor; pretty, but I hope not an opportunity for something fairly unnecessary to break. I hooked up the garden hose that was lying around from the previous, broken humidifier and runs into the sump. There was some wetness on the floor from the central air conditioner's evaporator coil, but that has dried up over the past couple of days, so I'll worry about it later.
The instructions say that the dehumidifier should stand vertical for 24 hour before it's turned on. The carton didn't say anything about "Keep This Side Up," but the driver knew to keep the box upright. It was delivered in the proper upright position, with the opening of the Amazon carton on the side. After I moved the dehumidifier to a table in the basement (so it can continuously drain effectively), I left it alone for a couple of days before powering it up.

I ordered this dehumidifier in Oct 2021 and I have been using this product since then for my basement (250 sq ft). This product is light weight (you can carry it easily using the handle) and also comes with roller wheels that enables to move it easily. The configuration is very easy, the auto shut off settings protects any water spill on the hardwood floors. The desired humidity settings and the hours of operations are easy to configure.
I am loving this product, this is keeping my basement fresh, odorless and protecting my hard wood floors from the humidity especially when there is so much of humidity in the air or when it rains.

Well first - nice little unit. It works well, but getting the water tank out is a bit of a problem. Once you pull it out, you cannot just let it sit on a flat surface, the bottom is not flat and water will spill out. Moreover, putting the water tank back in is not the smoothest. The float does not always fit well into the space used for that purpose. In my case, the float broke off when putting the water tank back in, and broke a piece of the water tank with it. The unit would not run anymore without the float contact. I tried to fix it be installing a pin, but it does not align right, so now although it runs, the float will not turn the unit off. Contacted customer service to get a replacement part, customer service was very responsive.

We've had this dehumidifier for a few years now and have really enjoyed using it in our bathroom. We use to have an issue of our master bath smelling a bit mildewy so we decided to use this in there and it has worked amazingly! We love that we can either let it drain into our shower or we can save the water and use it to water our plants (which they love).
The only issue we've had is that the drawer that collects the water broke and won't trigger the dehumidifier that it's empty and thus start collecting water again.

Love this dehumidifier! 2 yrs ago we had just moved into our house and then suddenly our basement started to smell weird.... mind you, we had just installed new carpets, paint, etc.... so the smell didn't make sense. I asked the contractors, real estate agent, etc., no one had an answer. It drove me nuts. I saw on a Reddit that it could be a humidity thing , as a Californian I didn't understand it (also, I kept hearing how "dry" Utah was... turns out, it's not dry in the basement as you might think [insert clever sex joke].
