Great bag for the price

First the bad, and so far is only the "pleather" vs leather, it's is cheesy plastic.
Now the good & great. Capacity, is at the standard of all the airlines I have searched - 45" is L+W+D and that is exactly what this is. People say in other reviews the bag is too heavy by itself- I weighed it & it weighs 3.5 lbs, no offense to others buy that is pretty darn light.
It has a great capacity, I will buy another because for a south of the boarder trip, this will hold most of our 10 days of needs. Yes, we will still have a suitcase, but if luggage gets lost, we will be fine.
As for our weekend trips we each will have one & it is perfect size.
All that said, we will see how the zippers and stitching holds up. Being a seamstress, I can fix most any sticking problems and may just reinforce all the stress points because of other reviews.
Bottom line, yes, it is an inexpensive backpack, yes it has great capacity, yes it may or may not make 10 trips, yes it is worth the $42 I spent and if it fails, after the first 3 or 4 trips would I buy again, even then, I probably would, that's about $10 a trip for a bag, for a trip that cost me a lot more.
I will update this review after few uses.

We're going on a 6 day trip and only packing in a carry on. I was looking for luggage and as soon as I saw that this holds clothes and a laptop, I had to order it as that's all my husband packs! Let me tell you, it does NOT disappoint! We were so excited to check it out when it arrived and look through all the compartments, and today I did a test run to make sure everything would fit. The large cube held one pair of jeans, one pair of shorts, one pair of pajama pants, and seven t-shirts. WOW! The medium one will easily fit the five full pairs of undergarments we need to pack, and the smallest will be for dry toiletries. We fit a pair of flip flops and a pair of slippers into the shoe/wet bag, and all that's left to pack is some socks, his electronics, and a book. And there's still PLENTY of room for it all!!! I am absolutely baffled!!! 100% recommend this, I'll update regarding durability after the trip but it seems very well made and sturdy.

This bag is EVERYTHING! It wouldnt let me upload pics but trust when I say its worth it. So much space! So many compartments. I travel a lot and this bag is good for at least 4 or 5 outfits easily if you know how to pack.. I take a lot when I travel just because Im extra . lol.. It has laptop compartment if you are taking one. It has a charging port. ( I didnt use ) Easy to separate clothes with separate bags. ( I used one for my dirty clothes) during my last trip to Cali. Everyone was asking where I got it. Definitely got more attention than I expected. I love the grey and brown color! I will purchase few more for Christmas Presents for my daughters and friends that travel a lot. Women ca use this with o problem. This backpack works great as a carry-on when you don't quite need the roll-aboard or find it more convenient to carry your bag on your back. I have used this as a supplement to a rolling bag, where I check the rolling bag and carry this one on. With the straps tucked in, I have no concerns about checking it when it seems more convenient.
I find carrying this on my back to be as comfortable as any backpack, as long as it's not stuffed to the max and/or very heavy. I have no problem with it when filled to its non-expanded capacity with typical clothes and travel items.
The bag has held up well for several trips so far. To me, it seems to have all the features and durability of similar bags costing much more.

It will lose its shape a little so don't let the pictures fool you. But then, what carry on bag won't?
The good news is that I travelled over 6,000 miles with this thing over a period of 5 days and it held everything I need and survived dragging it through 7 airports and several overhead storage bins without a single issue. The lock is NOT a TSA lock so don't bother with it because TSA will cut it off. Buy a TSA approved luggage lock.
I especially liked that there are 4 distinct packing cubes (their words) that are zippered and have clear sides for inspection without opening them - but that still might happen regardless. One is for shoes and another is for personal care products etc. Still TSA requires the 1qt. ziplock baggie for anything liquid. And the other two for clothing. The top unzips for notebook/tablet storage and that is well padded to help you feel secure. I haven't used the charging port because I don't have a portable charger, but I'm going to get one soon because that would come in so handy on my next travel date.
It clearly DOES expand a full 2 inches which most will need to utilize.
For the money, it's a great value, in my opinion.
