Worked well both in my garden plans and in the mushroom patch. It is a lot of coir if you plan on small projects and it difficult to break apart without tools.

This is a high quality product and a really great potting medium. The fact that it comes in a dehydrated brick means there's no possibility of pest contamination. One thing to note is that this creates a somewhat dense potting soil; I suggest cutting it (after rehydrating) with perlite and/or vermiculite to lighten it and improve aeration. Great product; I'm about to buy another!

I add this to manure and perlite to make the perfect potting mix. The coco bricks are easy to use. I put them in a large container and add water. As the water is absorbed, I add more. Once the coco brick is completely saturated, I add the other ingredients to my mix. I grow flowers, herbs and vegetables in this mix. It retains moisture so I do not have to water daily.
