The shelves are heavy and sturdy but the actual shelf was bent on 2 out of 5. We put them up bent, they are functional, but if this wasn't in a busy garage where the grandkids play and will probably do more damage, I would not be happy.

The first shelf took a bit of patience to set up - you'll definitely want 2 people to help! Once we got the first one assembled, it was much easier to piece together the next one! Now that the shelves are up and screwed into the wall, they are very sturdy! Much nicer looking than what was there. Really good quality, and I appreciate that they aren't wire shelves or plastic.

Pretty easy to assemble, though the pieces are very easy to be damaged during shipment, and if that happens, it will add on a lot of efforts when assemble them you have to fix the part first then assemble.
