I bought this to keep at work. It might be a little quieter than the nebulizer my doctor gave me, but not a lot. It is fairly compact and attractive. Many people like the adjustable cap on the nebulizer cup, but you should be aware that most of the medication goes out the top when you open it wider. It decreases treatment time, but also decreases the amount of medication you are inhaling.
