This is my first time ever using a rowing machine so I cannot say how great it is with any real meaning for someone purchasing one. However what I can say is I really like it. It was easy to assemble. I watched a few you tube videos on the proper form for using any rowing machine and used it today for the first time. I tried to do 30 minutes but ended at 23 minutes feeling like it was a good time to stop. I was sweating, felt my muscles aching (not due to an uncomfortable seat, the seat is fine), and burned 125 calories at the lowest resistance setting. My plan is to use this twice a week (on back days), use the elliptical (same brand that I have not assembled yet) twice a week on leg days and continue to use my stationary bike or go for a walk the other 3 days a week.

Overall it is a great buy. easy to assemble, quite. I do, however have an issue with the plastic cover around the belt. It is 2 half round plastic covers connect by clips. when you rowing, the belt move up and down and pressure the cover to open. Once opened, the clips are also broken because they are plastics.
The customer service did an excellent job send a replacement by UPS. Unfortunately, after several weeks of use it broke again. It does not affect use of the machine so I am not sure if I want bother CS again for another replacement. But I do believe it is a design issue.

When I got the rower it was more compact than I thought it'd be. It fits my home gym setup nicely and I have enjoyed using it regularly.

The machine is quite, so I can use it at night when the kids are asleep without making much noise.

The only wear and tear a couple months in (using it 3-5 times per week) is that a plastic cover where the strap wraps the bar popped off. It is just cosmetic and I don't notice it.

I was worried the one with fewer settings wouldn't give enough of a workout and got the one with 16 levels, I think even if I'd gotten the cheaper one I would've been fine, thing works great and does provide a serious exercise. Very happy with my purchase :) comes with batteries and everything you need to put it together, don't need any extra tools.

Amazon delivery was great. Arrived a day early & even got a call from the driver to confirm he had the right house (this is actually a problem iny small town & thank goodness for honest neighbors).
It was packed very well to prevent any damage in shipping. It was probably harder to take out of the box than to assemble. On the assembly, a lot of reviewers complained about the instructions, but to me, they were easy enough to follow & it took me around 30 minutes by myself. Only problem was putting the 2 halves together. One side, the holes didn't quite line up. No problem. Took a screw driver & pried it around a little. It was now close enough to get the screws in & tightened down.
Another previous complaint that the company evidently listened to was the funnel. I was surprised to see one when unpacking the box. Takes just over 2 gallons of water to bring it up to the minimum level to get started with. I'm more interested in the overall movement, endurance, cardio & weight loss & it's been 10 years since I did any kind of exercise program & I'm easing back into it. I'm not expecting it to be a strength trainer even at max water level.
I'm 5'10, 240 pounds, so I'm not pushing weight or height limits by any means. That being said, machine seems stable & sturdy and there is plenty of rail left behind me for the seat at full extension. Sound of the water is great. No experience with the app yet as I've just used Samsung health & my watch to track heart rate & time so far. If it's anything exceptional, good or bad, when I try it, I'll update. Can't speak on storage or leakage when standing up. I have enough room for it to stay at the ready so why chance it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it if you're looking for a water rower. There were a couple that were cheaper, but I went with this one having overall better reviews than the ones that were $40-50 cheaper.
