I bought this for my kids... they absolutely love it... but the only complaint my kids have is when they toasted everything together the hot dogs were still a lil cold (so they had to put them down a second time) and the buns burnt.. it was easier if they did the hot dogs first then put the buns in and did them together a second time...

I bought it based on reviews and the cheapness of it ($20). It actually makes a very decent classic frank. It's easy to clean by simply wiping off of the collecting tray. Although you can't see the traditional browning on the bun as with traditional toasted bread, the buns come out toasty and tasty. It's an input vs. output game with this thing. It requires almost no input, i.e. cooking/work/skill/cleanup, and produces a good output product. Better than boiled or microwaved franks, not quite as good as grilled franks. I'm going to buy the 4-dog unit for my office break/snack area. Recommend for dorms/barracks/break rooms, and bachelor pads.
