With proper installation I had zero problems with this child seat. I used to have the basic plastic one but as my child grew I needed something that could accommodate him. Fit my mountain bike really well and he does not jump around as much as the old seat did when we went over bumps.

This works and has continued to be enjoyed but am slightly concerned about it going forward. The instructions were very pretty clear and the necessary tools are included so assembly was easy. It took about 30 minutes by myself. Check out the Amazon video. It's a really good walkthrough of the process.
The seat is fairly lightweight. This is good because you don't want to add excessive weight to the bike rack but it does make the product seem like it is low quality.
Aside from the lightweight seat, I am concerned about how secure the seat is. The iron bands keep the seat secure to the bike rack from side to side but there isn't anything else keeping the seat from moving front and back. The iron bands do have a rubber-type coating that helps with the movement though. I also hope the bands are a high quality because those two bands are all that are keeping the seat from flying off during a ride.
I have not had any issues with this. My 7 year old has liked this, though it's slightly scary to get on since all the weight is on one side of the bike and it gets wobbly. Because it works well, I would say it is at least a 4 star product.

Went on a test ride with my 3 year old, she loved it! we went on some sharp turns and bumps and nothing came loose. I am pleased with the product! Much easier than having to tow a child trailer! Safety straps aren't the greatest so I'd only be comfortable with 2yrs up and older. I also wouldn't do any intense mountain biking, but for some gravel and cement trails around our neighborhood this is perfect and she won't outgrow it by the time she's ready to ride her own bike!
