So... the hardest part about using this hoop is getting it to uncoil properly. While the instructions state to let lay in the sun for a while to soften it up. This is winter and I do at 7,000 feet plus in Central Colorado. Even with the sun... it's not going to be all that warm! Instead, I opted to leave it laying on the floor for a bit near (but not too near) the fireplace. With a little assistance from a hair dryer, we then got hoop to uncoil. Even uncoiled, however, it didn't really for a perfect circle - maybe over a little bit of time?. The same goes for where the hoop connects (where you put the batteries in), the two ends, when connected per the instructions, do not join seamlessly - there is a slight gap on the outside curve.
The "instructions" consist of tiny... tiny... tiny print on clear stickers on the ends of the hoop that connect. A couple of batteries later and the hoop was flashing! The kids are going to love this. The lights are bright enough for the day and even more fun at night... as in .. getting dizzy kind-a fun! The hoop is 36" so is maybe not meant for small kids.
