This heater works about the same as another plug in heater I have. It is nowhere near a working car heater/defroster. It is better than nothing but unless you hold it less than 3-4 inches away you will not feel any heat. It just doesn't have enough power to heat an area the size of a car interior that is cold. If you can fix your vehicle heater do it.
