This thing puts out the airflow. It's normal noise for how much air it moves, which is a lot . The con is in the frame assembly, some parts were not fitting like they should, or were just made poorly.

I bought the 20inch fan bigger than I needed I should of bought the 18 inch it would of been better. I wanted a fan that would blow some air and this fan does. I leave it on low because it starts to rattle on medium and high. I have it on my patio porch it gets really hot in the summer and all the other fans I used didn't blow enough of air. The only thing I'm concerned about it gets warm so I'm going to have to keep an eye on it make sure it doesn't over heat it's a heavy fan the base has weight to it.
Had to modify the center bolt what attaches the weighted base to the stand pipe.

The center bolt was to long so the fan wobbled!
After I refurbished the bolt the fan stands like it supposed to.
Before shipping the item couldn't hurt to make sure three right parts are in the box!!
I use the fan to blow the smoke away from me while I'm welding and to cool me down.
