I've had this grinder now for a few months. I purchased it for my senior dog who has all but lost his mobility, because for the first time I nicked his quick with our usual nail clippers and I felt awful (his nails are growing so fast now that he struggles to walk). What I find super useful is the light on the end that lights up his nails (they are white) and I can visually see the quick very easily so I know how far down I can go. And while we have a ways to go before his nails get back down to normal length, this has made trimming infinitely easier and less stressful since im not worried im going to cut him. I did remove the protective cap on the end so I could get different angles, but it works fantastic, really happy with this purchase. I have 4 dogs and even my skittish one is allowing me to use it on her much better than I thought she would, we can get in about 2 nails per session before she's done with it, but thats ok because I've never been able to trim her nails without vet sedation.
It is quite quiet, you can hear it but its not scary loud to the dogs. It fits in your hand comfortably and after using it almost every other day for a few months, the tip has not lost its abrasiveness.
I was worried because of the cost that it wouldn't be powerful enough but I was wrong. It's been a very good purchase.

I love this dog nail clipper and trimmer and they are perfect! It is absolutely safe and you do not have to worry about accidentally clipping too close to the flesh or vein as the clippers have a very well-made guard on it. My dog hates getting her nails trimmed and she wiggles and squirms ever since I accidentally cut too close before. Now she is more relaxed with these because if I keep up with the maintenance of her claws we do not have to clip them and only have to sand the nails down. By the way, these are so gentle on her and she is more relaxed now. I highly recommend these trimmers if you are tired of going to the vet or expensive groomers just to trim your dog's claws.

These are very affordable and so easy to use, it even has a built-in flashlight that allows you to see what you're doing so that you do not trim too close to the flesh. I have had this trimmer for several months now and it is in excellent condition oh, and what I love the most is that it charges so there are no wires in the way and no batteries are needed. These are a must-have for dog owners, get them!

I really wanted a nail trimmer with a light on it but I realized those don't really exist (duh) BUT this set comes with trimmers AND a grinder to file the dog nail down AND that has a light on it! I always worry I'm going to cut way too close and make my 10 year old puppy bleed so I use the grinder light as a flashlight as I trim her nails. She has pretty thick claws and it actually cuts pretty nice and clean.
Some nice pros are that the kit comes with a replacement wheel and a small brush to clean it after you are done. It even comes with a certificate of lifetime warranty with contact information and a detailed card on how to use the grinder step by step!
It even has a little note that says "if the pet is angry or uneasy stop right now" lol and below that it has another warning about the grinder. I am so glad I did not have to worry about these warnings because I started to think to myself like "what if my old puppy freaks out, gives me sad looks, and hates me" but she just sniffed at it and looked at me funny from the humming noise from the grinder. Lol!
I would say it is definitely not her favorite for me to trim her nails and she tried to kindly pull her paw away but I can only imagine what vets have to go through with difficult dogs and cats. I am so glad I do not have to go to the vet and pay for them to just trim her nails any longer and honestly the time it takes is just as long since I am very careful with her. Even though I was still paranoid of potentially hurting her, there is also a booklet with step by step in how to cut the nails and grind the nails and what angle to use the grinder to assure that you don't harm your pet. There are detailed pictures to help show what speed is best for what size dog and even hamsters, dutch pigs, cats, and even rabbits. And most importantly step 3 in the book says to reward your pet with their favorite snack after each nail trimming which I do agree completely. :)
Before I bought this set, I bought different nail cutters for my kitty and it didn't come with any of these warnings, instructions , or any sort of warranty information. Sometimes it's the small things that make a difference and make you feel better about your purchase since there are sooo many on the market it was hard to pick and I settled with this one. They are affordable (sometimes I see deals too on these so if you are waiting they will come!) and it comes with an extra grinding wheel PLUS the presentation of the box and everything organized in it is great as well. 10/10.

This turned out to be a great nail kit for my dog, an 11 y.o. rescue goldendoodle that absolutely hates having her lower legs and feet touched. Whenever I try to wipe her feet or examine her pads, she instinctively jerks and pulls away. She also doesn't like going to the groomer, and although she has now gotten used to me giving her baths and trimming her coat, I wasn't sure how she was ever going to let me trim her nails...but thankfully this kit helped both of us relax. The way the nail trimmers are designed - with the extra piece of metal in the back so you can't go too far/clip too much, was a great help to me. And the clippers were sharp enough that I was able to trim her nails quickly without any jerking, without causing her any pain, and cutting safely, avoiding the bloodline. She even let me file the nails down a bit further with the grinder, which really amazed me. I used the softer attachment (not the coarse grind but more fine). It wasn't too loud and obviously didn't hurt or cause any pain, because she surely would have let me know if it had! So relieved to have this set to help keep her nails in top shape!
