We bought this thermostat to replace an old dial version. It was easy to install. It's easy-to-read and very sensitive. Our air conditioner and fan have gone on several times since we put it in. It seems accurate so far compared to the other thermometers by Acurite we have in our house. The screen doesn't stay blue. The blue does go off and the screen toggles between showing the current temperature and the humidity.

This Graystat thermostat replaced two Orbit thermostats of similar stile on my gas furnace. Both of the Orbit thermostats started shot cycling after about a year of service. (Short cycle is turning on and off heat/ AC in shot periods of time.) Back to the Graystat thermostat. The photo in the Amazon listing made more scene to me than the wiring graphic in the manual. Graystat thermostat is much better than the Orbit. Mode switches are on the front, and battery compartment also on the front. No need to dismount the thermostat to change batteries. The swing is easily adjustable. (Swing is how closely it tracks the set temperature.) I believe a long furnace burn is better that a bunch of short burns. Graystat thermostat is reasonably priced and easy to use and read. Good deal.
