I have a normal width fork, but the skewer needs to be about a 1/4 inch longer. You need to fully screw the end off to attach the skewer and secure. the bike.

For $22, you can use the same mount for many different types of fork. I ride 2 bikes - one with a skewer and one with a 15x110 axle. Now I can just change adapters when I ride a different bike instead of having 2 different fork mounts in my Jeep. Easy to change adapters that have an o ring to hold it in the body tightly.
