Of course Crisco dose what it's suppose to do, the only reason it gets four stars and not five is because it's really not good for you. That being said, neither is the recipe itself more than likely. Desserts are seldomly made. But some recipes call for this and making the recipe without this crisco would do the recipe wrong. Crisco makes all the difference. I use it seldomly and only in particular recipes that cannot do without it.
