we bought this bed after going through several "indestructible" beds. it was more expensive than those, but has proven to be worth the money to not have to replace it every few months. it's not as cushy so i was worried it wouldn't be as comfortable in his crate, but he doesn't seem to mind at all. i would definitely recommend this to anyone searching for a truly indestructible bed for their heavy chewers!

My 5 month old puppy has already destroyed 2 "Tough Chew" beds made by Retriever. This bed came packaged well and included 6 loops and 6 zippy ties in which to secure the bed to the kennel so the pups can't toss their beds. So far, we're doing good with this new bed!

Well, this seemed like a winner until my 1.5yo Rottweiler managed to rip a small hole and begin to pull the stuffing out. I had only allowed her to have the pad when she went into bed for the night, since there's not that much room to maneuver, a heavy stiff pad like this one. But she must have been bored one morning and picked and picked and picked at the underside until she got her teeth through the fabric. I think I've had this about two weeks. otherwise, I think it is a wonderful pad, washable, and the hair does not stick to it. Definitely something to keep an older dogs joints from getting sore. Maybe when she's older, I'll give it back to her! For this price I'm not just throwing it out!
