I needed to get this as my spouse suffers from incontinence due to Alzheimer's. I wasn't sure if it would be very good since it was both thin and really soft. As you can guess I haven't had to work with a mattress protector for many years and all my experience had led me to believe it would be "crinkly" and hard. I was surprised to find it very comfortable. I have had to wash it and it seems to stand up quite well to warm water in the washer and the permanent press setting on the drier. This has been a lifesaver as I bought a new premium mattress from Purple two years ago and it was very disheartening to have this issue come up.
I will definitely purchase this mattress pad again if the need arises in the future, however, at this point I feel it will last for quite a while.

I just bought a really nice queen mattress and I love it. I put this mattress protector on it and it's thin and comfortable, does not change the seal of my mattress. a few days later we had a hurricane heading our way. My friend decided to evacuate her riverfront home and stay over with her two dogs which combined with the storm, terrified my cat so much that she wouldn't go use her litter box, and instead peed on my bed in the middle of the night. Imagine waking up to the feeling of warm liquid on your legs running into the bedding! I jumped up and took the sheets off the bed, and there was a giant puddle on the mattress protector. Feeling underneath it, not one drop made it through. My mattress was perfectly unscathed! I washed the sheets and mattress protector and hung it up to dry. It is still 100% waterproof and back on my bed. I'm going to order another one for my guest bed.

We've had this protector on for several weeks now and only have good things to say. My husband and I both tend to be hot sleepers and a lot of mattress protectors make us so hot because they don't breath. This one doesn't seem to have that problem. It's soft and quiet. We haven't had the need to test it's waterproof-ness yet but it feels on the underside like it'll work well. Only thing I've noticed is that our sheets tend to slip off the corner of the mattress more now, but that might be from a couple other things and really I only 1-2x a week so it's worth it for the other pros!
