I bought this mattress protector for my son's bed. He pees sometimes while sleeping. This mattress protector fits perfectly for my Queen-size mattress. It is very soft and comfortable. It is not loose when kids play on that. It has a good strategy for the water resistance. The surface is soft and they make the water resistance layer at the bottom, so water does not come back to our blanket. It is easy to wash also.

Based on other reviewers' recommendations, I spread this over a towel and poured water on it to test how waterproof it was before putting it on my bed. I then pressed down on the water, to simulate someone lying in the wet spot. The water spread out and absorbed into the top layer but did not seem to go through to the towel below. So I do plan to keep this. I plan to use this to protect our bed from leaking milk, urine, and spit-up since I'm about to have a baby. Based on some of the negative reviews, I will probably put a towel under where I'll be sleeping, to be on the safe side, especially since I haven't washed this yet and some folks mentioned it lost its waterproof quality after washing. I'll update my review once we've used this for a few months and can see how it holds up as well as how it feels to sleep on it.
