I have used various Kuna Maximus security camera systems over the years and it has always been a superior product and very effective protection in this crime ridden city- this wall plate security camera system eclipses the coach light and flood lights I had before and it looks great!

So I decided to try out the plate because one of my other porchlights stopped working and was out of warrenty. Plate installed with very little issue, turned on the power, and that is when I discovered that the plate is not detected by the Kuna App. They use another app called the Kuna-SE app that is specific to the wall plate. A little annoyed that I have to have 2 apps on my phone, considering I actually pay the annual fee for my other lights (I hope they consolidate this to a single app in the future)
That being said, the new app is better designed and seems to have more features. The camera has night vision which is a plus and comes with the ability to store video locally using an SD card. So far the live feed is a bit spotty, but this happens from time to time on the regular lights so I'll give it a little while and update my rating.
Kuna folks . . . I'm still waiting on the official API that was promised for these systems years ago.

I attached the new Plate, and matched the new centered light. A new "matched" light was important to me. I also added a micro memory card, and the camera plate works fine. Also, I needed to use the correct app... the Kuna-SE. The app was a little confusing, or just my normal confusing; in the end, the Kuna support was helpful for the app setup, and the final product was done within an hour of install... happily surprised.
