Versatile stove & heater

The heater & stove is surprisingly lightweight. It packs away into itself and comes in a nice carrying case. The stove area for cooking upon is about normal size you would get with any other camping stove. Extra bonus is you can attach the heater portion and do some cooking atop that as well and it would provide heat on the underneath and sides as you do so. There is a vent at the top that is adjustable to allow for more heat to escape above the heater or to close it and force more air to the sides. Either way with that heating setup the heat from above and sides puts out a good amount of heat. Don't forget to adjust the lower air valve for proper blue or orange flame, whichever is preferred. I also tested with the attached 3 canisters of fuel and each one worked properly. Not all camping/backpacking stoves take all brands of fuel so this was definitely nice to see. This may not be the highest output heater around, but the heater does a great job and with the combination of heater and stove this is a great addition to camping gear, especially for camping or recreating in cooler weather.

I got the unit to warm the cabin of a small 18ft boat with a canvas topper. There are plenty of air leaks, but we still had to add ventilation.
There is no off marked on the dial, the lowest level on the dial is 'min' which is actually off. I would feel better with a clear off position.
Maybe a tiny electric heater would be the better way to go for our use.

Good for a couple weeks of camping not so good to warm a small office space. Burns out after about 4 to 5 20# Propane tanks.

Bought this for ice fishing, it's great for heating water in a kettle and cooking with a pan, but if you're going for total warmth in the tent you'll need bigger. I still take this with me every time I go though for cooking food and making tea. It's super!
